As a momma myself, I know how bittersweet it is when you’re little one turns one. It’s a blur of emotions and excitement. How amazing it is to watch them grow into these awesome little people with so much personality!

 

When Kieran’s momma contacted me to take his first birthday portraits, we began going over his birthday theme (you’ve gotta have a theme, right?!) colors, props and locations. I adored their chosen theme (Woodland) and from there we pieced everything together. Thanks again Emilee for allowing me to use some creativity!

Our decided location was perfect and allowed this little guy to show off his adventurous spirit.

And what’s a first birthday session without including the two who made it all happen?! I just love this playful image, don’t you?!

Kieran was such a happy little guy and not at all afraid to dig into his cake. You really never know how a one year old will react when they’re (allowed) to make a mess. He did pretty good!
