Our Valentine’s Minis are coming up this coming weekend and you may be wondering, “What in the world do we wear?!”

Because this is themed around Valentine’s Day, I figured many of you may be leaning towards wearing the color red. However, red is often a tricky color to pull off when figuring out how to coordinate in family photos. Try to pick different parts of each person’s outfit to add a pop of red to (you don’t want everyone wearing bright red shirts and dresses). Also, don’t assume that everyone has to wear red either. As you can see in this illustration, dad isn’t wearing a stitch of red, but his dark jeans match everyone else’s.

Smart Tip: If you choose to wear denim, make sure that everyone is wearing a similar wash. If the whole family is wearing dark wash except for dad who is rocking a lighter wash, he will stick out like a sore thumb.
